 Q. How do I apply for a role with the City of Deer Park?

A. The city utilizes an online application system called Neogov. All job postings are posted via the website through Neogov. All applications must be posted via the Neogov online system. The city only accepts applications for open positions. To see our current open positions and apply for a role with the city, simply click on the "Job Postings" sub-link at the top left corner of this web page.

 Q. How should I check on the status of my job application once I send it in?

A. You should not call the city to check the status of your job application. That will only delay the process and demonstrates an inability to follow instructions. Given the volumes of applications we receive for roles, we cannot respond to every individual to let them know the status of their application. The Neogov system allows us to send updates of an applicant's status via the email address they provided when they applied for the role.

 Q. Do you utilize staffing agency/temporary agency personnel to fill your roles?

A. On very rare occasion, we will engage a staffing/temporary agency to assist us in filling a role. We have agreements with existing agencies such that we do NOT want agencies soliciting the department for business. If the city has needs in this area, we will contact agencies as appropriate.
