Christmas Holidays - City Services Closed

City facilities will be closed in observance of the Christmas holidays. There will not be curbside collection of rubbish on these days. Service will resume on your next regular collection day following the holidays. Garbage should not be placed out for pick up earlier than 6 p.m. on the evening before the scheduled collection day. Thank you for your cooperation.

Kids Craft: Watercolor Snowflake Art

Join us in person to create a 'Watercolor Snowflake Art' craft OR pick up a take-and-make kit from our circulation desk starting December 5. Recommended ages 5-11.

Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.)

Are you a teen looking for volunteer hours? Join T.A.B. to take part in the library's teen programming, make suggestions for the teen collection, and more! To join pick up an application from the library today or email youthlibrarian@deerparktx.org!

CreativiTeen: Gingerbread Cookie Decorating

This CreativiTeen will let teens design their own gingerbread cookie! While they decorate there will be festive tunes playing and plenty of hot cocoa to go around. Stop by and decorate a cookie on December 6 at 4:30 PM! No registration needed. All 12 - 18 year olds welcome!

Toddler Storytime

Stories and activities are designed to encourage a love for books and language, increase attention spans and develop basic social skills. Parents/caregivers are required to stay with the toddler and encourage them to participate in the program.

Preschool Storytime

Preschool Storytime is recommended for children 3 1/2 - 6 years old. Storytime incorporates books, fingerplays, songs, and activities to promote interest in reading and lifelong learning. Children listen to stories and participate in group activities.

Teen Game Day

Teens are invited to stop by during the first and third Thursday of every month from 4-6 PM. The library has a variety of board games and snacks available! For ages 12-18.

Mysteries & More Book Club

The Mysteries & More Book Club meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room. We will be picking future titles for the book group at upcoming meetings. If you have a title that you think would make a great discussion book, bring it to our next meeting. Adult Craft: Wrapping Paper Party

Patrons are encouraged to bring their unwrapped presents to our Wrapping Paper Party! All wrapping materials will be provided as well as light refreshments. Registration is not required.

Holiday Storytime

A special Winter Holiday storytime is planned for December 14th @ 10:15 a.m. with songs, stories, and a special guest. Goodie bags and a craft will be available. This storytime will hold plenty of fun, stories, and photo opportunities, so don't forget your camera!

Featured Friday: The Bolivar Point Lighthouse Legacy

Mark your calendars and join us for our next Featured Friday Series Event...The Bolivar Point Lighthouse Legacy! Presented by Amy Maxwell Chase (Executive Director of the Bolivar Point Lighthouse Foundation). Come learn about a living piece of Texas history, The Bolivar Point Lighthouse! Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.

Percy Jackson Pre-Watch Party

Calling all demigods! Celebrate the upcoming release of the new Percy Jackson show by attending our pre-watch party. There will be blue food, crafts, and a quiz to find out who your godly parent is. Registration required. Sign-up begins December 1.
