Emergency Notifications-LEPC

E-Notify has been adopted by the Deer Park LEPC as the system for official notifications

New feature includes a CAER System integration

  • E-Notify must be submitted BEFORE a CAER message is posted
  • Notification to two distinct audiences with one system
  • LEPC/9-1-1 Dispatch Center/Industry Partners
  • General Public

System Tests:

Companies are encouraged to incorporate e-Notify system tests into their routine communications

Experiences shows that companies regularly submitting system tests are much more likely to properly communicate with the system during an actual incident

Outdoor Warning System

The City of Deer Park benefits from an Outdoor Warning System which would be utilized by local authorities. The alarms are activated in case of chemical emergencies, severe weather or other hazards.

Nine siren-type alarms are mounted on utility poles throughout the City of Deer Park, and another alarm is installed at Battleground State Park. The alarms can be sounded citywide or only in the geographic area affected by the emergency.

As of April 2014, the system is tested weekly at Noon (noon) every Saturday. This allows for more frequent testing of the system and enhances community and visitor awareness.

Play a sample of the weekly siren test.
