Museum Cabinets

Throughout the City of Deer Park, visitors will find cabinets filled with historical documents, photos, and other items that shed Cabinets with Sherrysome light on our area's history. The items on display were largely made available through citizen donations and continuous outreach by the Historical Committee

At the Municipal Court and Theater Building, located at 1302 Center Street, items including original deeds and surveys from the city's establishment, photos of early families, information on Simeon H. West - Deer Park's founder, and more. In 2017, a set of 8 letters written by Simeon H. West from California in the 1850's and 1860's were added to the collection of display items.
